Is Hillary Clinton one of the biggest bull shitters this world has ever seen? She sure is, and legions of uneducated, screaming and adoring toadies kneel at her feet slurping up every nonsensical promise and outrageous statement she makes.
Fortunately for her (and unfortunately for us), there is no shortage of people unwilling to do a little fact checking or to ask a tough question; in other words, unwilling to “do the math.” The obvious consequence being she says, and gets away with saying, any idiotic thing she likes. Outlandish statements about the state of affairs and outlandish promises with no detail attached.
Such is the “ignorance is bliss,” duhhhhh-like life of a Clinton supporter.
To wit: According to cbsnews.com, she is claiming her plan to tackle global warming will create 5 million new jobs. Besides the obvious lack of explanation for how this might happen, she (woops!) fails to crunch any numbers for us about how many millions of jobs will be lost to government intervention and suppression of free markets in her quest to tax our way into living on a planet that will survive the certain inevitable holocaust caused by an unchecked George W. Bush. (Every bad thing, real or imagined (or lied about) for the foreseeable future, will be blamed on W with the total complicity of the leftstream media; at least until the next unfathomably evil Republican checks into the White House.)
Parts of her plan include reducing greenhouse gasses by 80% from 1990 levels by 2050 and cutting imports of foreign oil by two thirds by 2030.
So she wants to cut imports by two thirds in roughly 22 years? But not by drilling off our shores like China drills off our shores, and certainly not by disturbing two percent of ANWR, as proposed, to tap a vast oil reserve that would almost certainly relieve us of some dependency on foreign oil.
She says that global warming is hurting low-income families (whatever that refers to. Define low-income) because one in four has missed a rent or mortgage payment as a result of high energy costs. (Or could it be they missed a rent or mortgage payment because of low income and/or misspent priorities?)
If these people had bought their homes from Hillary and her infamous Whitewater Development Corporation, they would have no equity, would lose their homes and the homes would go back to Hillary to be resold. (For more on how her Whitewater scam worked, see my 6/28/07 post.)
I haven’t heard one challenge from the Democrats on these claims and the press ignores challenges from anyone else.
One thing I do understand and believe is her call for a $150 billion “investment,” called for in her energy package. Investment is political speak for taxes. She and the other Dem candidates have all promised a big tax hike for us if they win the White House. Not many people are listening though, and the press doesn’t exactly report that kind of stuff.
In earlier speeches, she said she would pay for her program by ending tax subsidies for oil companies, saying they could afford it with oil at more than $90 a barrel. Look, I’m all for ending corporate welfare across the board. But singling out oil companies? Okay, let’s give them more reasons to not want to do business in the US. I’m thinking just about any country would like to host our oil industry and all the taxes and jobs that come with it. Let’s give oil companies even less incentive to produce to capacity in this country!
And now for a little icing on this disgusting cake. The Clinton campaign on Friday admitted to planting questions in the audience at a Newton, Iowa rally. Apparently, they like to coach audience members before the Q&A sessions on what to ask Mrs. Clinton. And what would the first question be? According to Grinnell College student Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff, she asked, as coached, “As a young person, I’m worried about the long-term effects of global warming. How does your plan combat climate change?” I guess Hillary figures if real people don’t want to hear how brilliant she is about her solutions to climate change, then she can just plant someone to ask the questions she would like to answer.
She’s all class, isn’t she?!
JD.
Ps. For the record: I don’t see a Republican candidate that excites me in a good way either. Nor do I see one (yet) who lacks basic decency like this woman does!

NO! TO GIRLY GIRLS FOR PREZ
Hillary is hiding behind skirts, ironically, while the rest of the Democrat field is pummeling her, not only on her record, but her flip-flopping and gaffs when under pressure. It’s not too often Hillary gets asked hard questions under pressure, but during the most recent Democrat love fest…er, debate, the moderator hit her with a question about whether she supports Governor (Elliot) Spitzer’s attempt to give illegal aliens drivers licenses.
This wasn’t even a tough question, but it is for a Democrat at this stage of the game. Democrats restrict their appearances to sympathetic audiences and interviews such as with the “press” corps of ABC, NBC and CBS. Or with CNN (Clinton News Network?), MSNBC (what Bernard Goldberg describes as “The witness protection program of networks,” for its lack of viewership) and CNBC. So committed are they to dodging challenges, they have collectively refused to debate, thus far, on The Fox News Channel. How cowardly is that?
She squirmed, sputtered and folded like an accordion under the pressure. She is usually served softball questions that concern one of the many, many giveaways she promises on a regular basis, pretty much to whatever group she is addressing. This time, she forgot that Americans, by an overwhelming majority, are tired of illegal immigration.
Caught by a question she hadn’t rehearsed for that day, she was seen spewing her flip-flopping, pandering reflexive pablum. Her absolutely and insanely unintelligible response drew rapid fire from the other contestants on the stage. The balance of the evening was laced with assaults from Obama, Edwards and Dodd.
Hillary’s response? She’s complaining about the “all-boy’s club of presidential politics,” and her campaign produced a video called “The Politics of Piling On” after the debate. Egad! No kidding! The boys on the field are picking on her!
If she thinks Obama, Edwards and Dodd are tough, what the hell is she going to do when she has to deal with real men? I mean guy guys who have fought their way through real lives instead of feeding at the eternal government trough?
How is she going to deal with mean men, like the ones that head up the vast majority of countries in this world? Even creepy little mean men like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? How on earth would she deal with guys like W who don’t put up with anyone’s shit?
Of course, Bill came to her rescue blaming the boys for beating up on her in the proverbial school yard. Her opponents took after him too. Bill’s one of those guys who is really tough when surrounded by his group of sycophants (all people just as individually weak as him), but isn’t worth a tinker’s damn when mano a mano. It’s easy to pick these guys out because they’re usually the ones who get off picking on girls. And anyone who cares to open their eyes knows Bill is a bully with the girls. To listen to them, he has sexually harassed them in any way one can imagine, including rape.
Anyway, Hillary’s opposition smells blood and one of her key vulnerabilities will continue to be her tendency, much like her husband’s, of slipping into victimhood. Bill got away with it because he’s a girly guy. But the electorate has a definite intolerance for girly girls.

I'M NOT A "VICTIM" OF SURVIVAL
With the advent of baby boomers entering retirement age, the media focus, not to mention consumer regulatory focus, appears to be on the scores of millions of new people who have entered “victimhood” status. Now it can be assumed that anyone turning 50 and receiving their coveted first AARP card in the mail is now a protected class of victims. There goes the neighborhood…again!
Being in that age class, I’m embarrassed at the number of people I know (pretty much all of them who’ve turned 50) who snatch up that membership card with a certain giddiness. They pay their dues happily to get a ten percent discount on a cup of coffee to drink while they read the inevitable and unstoppable barrage of junk mail heaped upon them.
I don’t know of one of them who have bothered to find out what AARP is. Apparently it doesn’t matter as long as it strokes folks’ senses of entitlement.
AARP is a shamelessly liberal gim’me organization that boasts its powerful lobbying status. Formerly the “American Association for Retired Persons,” AARP dropped the name and stuck with the acronym when they realized there were millions of baby boomers to sucker into making it the second biggest organization in the United States, behind the Catholic Church, and the country’s most powerful lobby.
AARP is good at marketing its ideas to the over 50 and stupid crowd, such as opposing President Bush’s social security reform plan.
The reform plan would have allowed people to volunteer up to five percent of their social security payments to private investments. That would have given anyone who chose to participate, control of up to five percent of their social security taxes. Politicians and AARP dopes like to call these taxes “investments.”
For the first time in the history of the program, people could have had control over how their money was invested. They also would have “owned” that money. That means the money they controlled would not be part of the social security disaster, the fund that does not exist. Up to five percent of someone’s forced contributions would actually belong to THEM! What a concept! So radically sensible that AARP couldn’t stand the thought of some of their members having some freedom and being five percent less dependent on government.
They did a grand job of trashing the idea simply by telling their membership it was bad. I wonder how many members bothered to look any further than their most recent junk mailing on the subject from their AARP leaders. No problem spending money on one of their affiliates’ life, health, prescription or long term care scams, though.
To the 35 million members of the second biggest organization in the country, it was a lockstep non-decision to oppose the plan. Freedom anyone? Self sufficiency anyone? Nope! It’s sad to think that these 35 million people are all eligible to vote. I do wish most of them would stay home and leave the election process to folks who could pass a simple civics quiz. How about to people who have read the Constitution? Nah, let’s not get carried away.

ELI FLORENCE: REST IN GOD'S LOVE
I returned home from my daughter’s softball tournament on Sunday to find my son distraught over hearing that his classmate, Eli Florence, had passed away at his home earlier in the day. Eli had suffered from Leukemia for the past five years and finally lost his battle with the disease.
Sunday’s tournament had begun at 1:00 pm in the warm glow of sunshine on an otherwise crisp autumn day. About two hours later the sky became cloudy and rain fell shortly after 3:00 for the duration. When I got home, I learned why the weather had taken such a cold, sad turn. Seems the sky was weeping for our friend Eli.
I am having a hard time digesting the sad truth of what transpired over the weekend. Eli had been crowned homecoming king at his Lake Fenton High School little more than a week before. Five students sidestepped their own chances to give Eli the honor. He was a sophomore. Eli was scheduled to be hosted at the University of Michigan’s homecoming game on Saturday including a visit on the sidelines with coach Lloyd Carr. He was too sick to attend.
I can’t for the life of me understand where the love of God is when a 15 year old young man is called to heaven. I don’t understand where a parent finds the faith to endure such a loss. I couldn’t sleep Sunday night with Eli’s loving family on my mind. Wondering over and over again how they manage to keep their sanity.
My personal doctor is an oncologist and I had to ask him on Monday; how does one reconcile the tragic, untimely loss of a 15 year old boy to cancer. He told me simply, “you don’t.” He had no other comfort, shared no other wisdom, as if to make a point that you don’t try to soften such a hard blow. I got the message. Some things should be hard. Some things shouldn’t make sense. And some things we should carry, under their entire weight.
I have been uncharacteristically numbed by the story of Eli. I’ve prayed for him every day for years on end. I registered as a potential bone marrow donor to no avail. This young man has been on my mind since I first heard of him shortly after moving to our community. I have been emotionally moved into submission.
I am not related to his family and our families were not acquainted. But I feel a kinship to all children, especially children who hurt. Injured children are what I understand best, they make the best human beings. And it is impossible to fully process the loss of any child; particularly a child who doesn’t live long enough to learn that adolescence were the hardest years of their lives.
It is my belief that no one can truly comprehend how much love a person of Eli’s caliber brings to us and our world…it is simply too abundant and rich to grasp. The innocent are truly Angels.
God rain comfort -- the little comfort that can be absorbed -- onto Eli’s family.
Thank you, Eli, for awakening me with your sleep. You live on in our hearts and you are truly a gift.

HILLARY'S MIDDLE CLASS?
Hillary launched her two day “Middle Class Express” bus tour of Iowa with a speech that departed from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), signed into law by her husband. She thinks NAFTA should be reassessed and “adjusted,” though she didn’t offer tangible details.
I’m pretty sure she didn’t offer details because she really doesn’t have any. You don’t need details for the crowd she’s speaking to. She’s speaking to union membership and other democrat gim’me’crats who don’t bother to pick up printed material and actually read about what they’re for or against.
I’m not foolish enough to think for a New York moment that people who’s vote can be swayed or sealed on that kind of idiotic talk do any reading beyond their horoscope, Ann Landers or the sports pages. I beg any one of them to spend two sentences on NAFTA without their brain exploding.
“I think we do need to take a deep breath and figure out how we can make it work for the greatest numbers of people,” Billary added. The “greatest number of people“ comment, of course, is meant to make all of her lackeys think they’re in the “greatest number.”
With “greatest number,” she is specifically addressing the union leadership. This being the same fine leadership that has contributed so greatly to the high unemployment rate in Michigan, Ohio and some other rust belt areas of the country.
This is the same fine leadership that lobbies against right-to-work laws that give an employee the right to join a union…or not! For the record, Michigan is not a right-to-work state. Here, you have no right to not join a union if your coworkers are organized. The union leadership we’re talking about also will take away the right to a secret ballot when they try to organize in a particular workplace. This tactic has the obvious effect of intimidating workers who don’t want to join, into voting for membership. If the Dems take the White House in addition to controlling the legislature, this too will become law. Guaranteed!
Anyway, Clinton’s most recent empty speech will surely please the left and some dopes on the right. Unfortunately, in this country most people fall all over themselves for people who use phrases like “greater good; wealth redistribution; level playing field; fair share;” and my personal favorite, “working people.”
She no doubt appeals to people who think the United States is a democracy, and others who have never bothered to read the Constitution.
On the other side of the aisle, I watched the most recent Republican candidate’s debate the other day on CNBC. Not real exciting. There have been so many debates at this point, 13 months before the election, that no one watches them. In fact it looked like the candidates themselves didn’t entirely show up either.
Worst moment of the debate was when Sen. Fred Thompson was asked “What are the dangers of a weak dollar?” He appeared to be desperately trying to make up the answer as he stumbled, and failed to sound convincing. Even if you didn’t know the answer, it sounded as though he didn’t either. Painful.
What a tired looking bunch. And as bad as they sounded, the Democrat candidates are worse…content wise.
Shaping up to be a scary election season!

MICHIGAN'S HANDOUTS CONTINUE
We lucky folks in Michigan woke up this morning to a large tax increase. For anyone who doesn’t know, Michigan faced a government shutdown and the solution our brilliant governor, Jennifer Granholm, and our esteemed legislature “worked out,” was a tax increase. Michigan’s state income tax was increased overnight and many services that were not taxed will now be taxed at 6% with a sales tax.
With the state threatened with a possible partial shutdown, I was elated. I couldn’t wait to see how things ran without the thousands of unnecessary employees bleeding us as they’re wasting away in their union protected, bloated departments.
The local news rounded up and interviewed the usual suspects to show us how they “support” the actions of their governor and legislature and how they think Michigan will now enter a new era.
Puke! Gag me!
Judging by what the interviewees had to say, they no doubt have their hands in the till and aren’t ashamed of shouting that fact to the world. But then again in Michigan, it’s normal to expect a handout.
I’m not talking about a “My children are cold can you spare some food, clothing or shelter?” handout, I’m talking about the typical entitlement mentality around here. Everyone who has a kid, craving or complaint in this state expects to be given the means to support it. By ‘given’ and by ‘means,’ I mean they expect me and you, if you try to earn an honest living, to cough up a few more bucks for them at the end of the barrel of a government equalizer (the 9mm variety).
Everyone is a victim!
I don’t care what their means or circumstances, people in this state are used to the gravy train. Problem is we’re running out of gravy makers. Most of the people who do work and support themselves in this state are on their way out of here or dreaming of the day they can book. The rest have already left. They went to the states where educated people contribute to the economy, not just take. They’re contributing to states that don’t have income taxes or have a much lower rate than ours at 4.35% (yesterday it was 3.9%).
Guess what? The idiots in this state would reelect the same brain dead and cowardly trough-slop eaters tomorrow if given the chance. Anyone who promises a big enough handout around here is the easy winner.
Our most recent gubernatorial contest featured a wildly successful business owner who understands market economics and isn’t afraid of ruffling political feathers, against our current second-term political-machine-educated, lifetime public-trough-feeding lame-ass governor. And the latter won in a landslide. Welcome to Michigan. If you’re a proven failure but still promise the right freebees, you’re elected in this state.
Michigan – Hands out America!
As if to boost my point and in case there was any doubt in the Country’s collective mind about the moronic state of the State here, the UAW went on strike against General Motors less than a week before the state budget deadline. If there was any doubt at all about the sloth mentality here, that should have erased it. UAW members think they won something, though anyone who can think and read a book, knows better. The union leadership knows better, GM made out like a bandit and the rank and file were told to be obedient little soldiers and be happy for how they stood up to “the man.” Joke’s on them. But most of us know you can only siphon so much before you start sucking air.
What to do...
Since we’re fast running out of income sources because corporations and other revenue generating taxpayers are leaving or staying away from here, what would be the logical solution?
Our cowards in Lansing, of course looking no farther than their next election, have decided to punish us who remain and ensure no one else shows up at the border trying to invest and create jobs in our state. It’s a demolition derby of sorts where we beat the hell out of each other, taking each other’s stuff until the last man is standing.
Then maybe someone will try to start a democratic republic in the big mitten.

Ps. Speaking of pandering via handouts, Hillary says she wants to give all babies $5,000. No explanation, no plan. And the dopes eat it up. I shit you not!

FEAR OF NOT FLYING
God help us travelers. The government wants to take action and force new guidelines onto the airlines to make traveling “more pleasant.”
The feds, i.e. Congress, think they can make waiting more pleasurable. I am so sick and tired of our wussy, nanny-prone electorate running to the government every time they sense a little discomfort. The government, folks, at least when it comes to money, would be you and me.
I’m not interested in bucking up for even higher fares while the airlines are burdened by another rule distraction that will surely be passed on to us in the name of surcharges that will certainly contain a little extra profit for the airlines. That’s the way it always goes.
As someone who takes from 75 to 105 flights per year to enjoy making a living, I certainly am sympathetic to paying passengers who are forced to sit on an airplane for extended periods of time for seemingly weird or unacceptable reasons. After all, I am one of those passengers.
But to go to the policing, gun-toting, menacing, inefficient taxocrats for an answer? Please, I’d rather spend my waiting time toe tapping in a Minneapolis men’s room.
As it stands, most of the problems with the airlines lie in part or whole with the FAA and their antiquated air traffic control system. Everything they’ve touched in the field of air travel, and every other field, come to think of it, has been a predictable disaster.
JD.
I figure I’m back and I feel like bitching again, so if you’re interested, tune in often. I’ll be here.

CALL IRAQ BOSNIA AND WE'RE OKAY ACCORDING TO PRESS
Apparently Usama Bin Laden doesn’t understand that when he delivers speeches to the U. S. he strengthens America’s resolve to defeat him. This translates into increased support for Republicans and even more specifically, President Bush. When Usama speaks, the nation doesn’t want to hear a simultaneous surrender chorus from Generals Pelosi and Reid. The Dems lose much appeal on these reminders that we are under siege.
We have been promised a speech by the esteemed leader of Al Qaeda to be delivered on September 11.
Who has forgotten what Usama calls “The invasion of Manhattan?” Apparently, too many. The “invasion of Manhattan” was a bigger invasion than that of Pearl Harbor when Americans were as serious as their leaders about defending her boarders.
Run Politicians, run! Scared to death of reminding Americans of the threats we live under, they run toward certain reelection rather than increased security for their constituents.
But why run scared now? In 1999 the British and American press enthusiastically embraced President Clinton’s invasion of Serbians, a people in an area that never once threatened the U.S. or any of her allies.
Yet when Clinton fabricated an ethnic cleansing of Muslim Albanians by Serbs, not the New York Times, nor the Mirror (UK) or any other major, liberal allied media outlets lifted a finger to investigate the whys or the seriousness of such an illegal and unprovoked action as bombing Serbia. To be sure, the Serbs were not totally innocent, but their actions were small potatoes compared to what was happening on the world stage in 1999.
Let’s review. In the Kosovo Province of Yugoslavia, Muslim Albanians complained of violence from the area known as Serbia. Clinton – needing a legacy – seized the opportunity to tag the disturbance as ethnic cleansing, comparing himself in his autobiography to the hypothetical leader who would listen to Winston Churchill and be the one who would have stopped Hitler before he had a chance to engage in his murderous genocide.
Did anyone in the mainstream media question the action? Actually, virtually everyone of any note in the leftstream media enthusiastically cheered Clinton for stepping in.
In fact, nearly every media account of what was going on in the Balkans omitted the fact that the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) was murdering Serbian civilians and Albanians with some regularity and brutality in an effort to do what Clinton said the Serbs were doing. The Clinton Administration called the KLA, as recently as 1997, a “terrorist organization.”
But in 1999, when Clinton was worried about a legacy (beyond Monica Lewinsky), these people were suddenly our friends. The KLA was trying to force the Serbs to agree to making Kosovo an independent State or annexing it to neighboring Albania. Terms the Serbs understandably could not accept.
Now Clinton wanted to bomb the Serbs in an effort to embrace the cause of the “terrorist” KLA. Even though the Serbs accepted very trying conditions put forth by NATO in order to keep the peace, the bar was raised to an unacceptable level, by everyone’s measure; so high that the administration admitted it was made artificially high in order to make the Serbs look noncompliant.
The Clinton administration regularly embraced fabricated casualty figures to advance its agenda and gain public acceptance. In one press release, 500,000 Kosovo Albanians had been killed by the Yugoslav army. This is a figure Clinton never bothered to object to in the interest of truth. He went along with several other exaggerated accounts in concert with the American and British liberal press. The real number turned out to be about 4,000 including those killed by NATO and KLA actions.
Another account called the Trepca mines “another Auschwitz” even though later inspections turned up not one body and no evidence of atrocities. Yet Clinton went along because it justified his “cause.” Another so called “atrocity” site was supposed to be found in the city of Ljubenic, where there were supposed to be 350 bodies buried. Seven were found.
Yet Clinton bombed. And he bombed the Serbs some more. He bombed the Serbs despite Congress's rejection of the act. When presented to Congress for a resolution, Congress rejected the idea and refused to authorize Clinton to bomb. Clinton bombed anyway for two more months.
(As I recall, the U.S. Senate overwhelmingly approved an invasion of Iraq.)
Where was the outcry from the press in 1999?! Where was the outcry from the American people? I’ll tell you where the latter was; they were so mislead and misinformed as to what was really going on, the American public, by design of the American and British press, knew little if any of the facts. They were ignorant…blissfully as far as Clinton was concerned.
And Clinton continued to bomb. John Pilger reported in The Guardian that eighteen hospitals and clinics were destroyed. 200 Nurseries, schools, clinics and students’ dormitories were destroyed or damaged together with housing estates, hotels, libraries, youth centers, museums, churches and fourteenth century monasteries.
The American media remained in lockstep with the Clinton administration. Historian Thomas E. Woods, Jr. called it “one of the worst cases of yellow journalism in recent memory, in which the Western press almost without exception portrayed the conflict as a simple matter of good against evil.”
Pope John Paul II described it as an “act of diabolical retribution.”
So what happened? After the bombing the KLA began a massive ethnic cleansing campaign of its own against all non-Albanians. More Serbs were killed than Albanians had before the conflict. Serbs were forced from their homes with more than 200,000 fleeing Kosovo. In Kosovo’s capital city of Pristina, 120 Serbs remain out of an original population of 40,000. That’s right, 120! And they live in desperate fear from the Albanian Muslims.
In addition to the Serbs, 100,000 Roma Gypsies were driven out of Kosovo during the KLA’s ethnic cleansing program.
So Clinton wanted to advance the “liberation” of people (the KLA) who engaged in massive ethnic cleaning, leaving in the wake an extremely strong and violent Muslim presence in the region. According to Woods, a UN official described the situation thus: “Kristallnacht is underway in Kosovo. What is happening in Kosovo must unfortunately be described as a program against Serbs.”
Since NATO took control of the province, the few Serbs still living there have watched thousands of their homes looted or destroyed and 150 Christian churches and monasteries destroyed, says Woods.
Mr. Woods goes on to say, “There is the real Clinton legacy in Kosovo.”
I’ll say it as I’ve said it before; other than for ignorance, where was the outrage then and why the outrage now? Why now, after over 3,000 innocent civilians were killed in the “invasion of Manhattan” do the accomplished Generals Pelosi and Reid earn any semblance of credence from the American citizenry? Ignorance, that’s why!

POTENTIAL "PANDERERS IN CHIEF" CHANGE IRAQ TALK
Democrats presented, and President Bush signed into law last Sunday, an updated and more powerful version of the wiretap bill that the Democrats made a whole lot of noise about, and against, before the 2006 elections.
The President signed into law a bill giving government even greater powers to allow investigators to monitor international calls and emails without warrants.
The “Protect America Act of 2007” allows government to listen in on communications between people in the U.S. and overseas if the target of the surveillance is outside the country.
In December, 2005, before the Dems took control of Congress, California Senator Diane Feinstein had this to say about the less intrusive eavesdropping methods in use at the time; “(This)…calls into question the integrity and credibility of our Nation’s commitment to the rule of law.”
It’s amazing how a dose of reality and the burden of real decision making can put your political decisions on a different course.
Here’s another example of how the real deal can smack some idiotic campaign trash-talk back into a candidate’s “say anything to get elected” mouth. Remember how the Democrats were promising everyone with a sandwich board manufactured by the Party, and no job to keep them from marching for the cameras, that they would get us out of Iraq? Here’s what they have to say now according to the Sunday New York Times:
John Edwards would keep troops in the region to intervene in an Iraqi genocide and be prepared for military action if violence spills into other countries.
Hillary Clinton would leave residual forces to fight terrorism and to stabilize the Kurdish region in the north.
In public appearances, Hillary often says, “If this president does not end this war before he leaves office, when I am president, I will.” Then she confirms recently to the New York Times, when reminded of an interview with the paper in March, that there were “remaining vital national security interests in Iraq” that would require continued deployment of American troops.
Barrack Hussein Obama would leave a military presence of as-yet unspecified size in Iraq to provide security for American personnel, fight terrorism and train Iraqis.
ISN’T THAT WHAT WE’RE DOING NOW??!?!?
And there’s this quote, according to The New York Times: “We’ve got to be prepared to control a civil war if it starts to spill outside the borders of Iraq,” John Edwards, who has run hard against the war, said at a Democratic debate in Chicago this week. “And we have to be prepared for the worst possibility that you never hear anyone talking about, which is the possibility that genocide breaks out and the Shi’a try to systematically eliminate the Sunni. As president of the United States, I would plan and prepare for all those possibilities.”
A “possibility that you never hear anyone talking about?” He ought to peek out from behind his wife’s apron from time to time and listen to the folks, not to mention the Administration. Oh, that’s right; he’s too busy working with the poor folks to be bothered.
Maybe the public is finally catching on. The recent Democratic debate on MSNBC, a network that author, commentator and former CBS newsman, Barnard Goldberg calls “the network equivalent of the witness protection program,” drew less than a million viewers. Yawn.

HATE AMERICA BUT DON'T INSULT THE CAVEMAN
The producers of ABC’s new comedy “Cavemen” had to reshoot the pilot episode in response to cries of racism from reporters.
This is a new low in this pansy-ass, cry-baby, Victims-R-Us, liberal-infested, love-anyone-who-hates-America, hate-anything-American, creepy society we’ve become. Jeez, people, lighten up!
My reaction may seem a bit like I just can’t get through step 8 of over-reactors anonymous, but I have a real hard time containing myself anymore when I’m reminded how wimped out this country is.

DailyKos is a lovely site that posts serious hate speech. Here are a few examples of statements posted on the site, according to Bill O’Reilly of Fox News:

Also at the DailyKos.com convention, a uniformed army reservist who served in Iraq challenged a panel to prove by any means that violence had not decreased since the recent military “surge.” He was booed, jeered and escorted out of the building. So much for reason. I guess they can’t let a little serious debate from a soldier who's been there interfere with their thuggish hate rhetoric.

This weekend I went to see “The Bourne Ultimatum” at the cinema with my son and daughter. First of all, it was a great action thriller in league with the first two “Bourne” movies. I highly recommend it to Bourne fans everywhere.
Best part of the experience, though, was during the previews and promotions before the movie began. Along with the previews and usual ads, a recruiting piece by, and for the United States Army was shown. I looked around the theatre for reaction from the mostly twenty-something packed house, and then a great thing happened…The theatre erupted in spontaneous applause in obvious support for the Army spot. Very, very heartwarming! I wish the Kos folks and the Dem contestants could have been there.
