EDWARDS - CREEPY, BUT ONLY ONE IN A BUNCH

I’d like to say I don’t want to give the impression that I don’t like John Edwards, but I’d be lying. I don’t like Edwards and am not the least bit ashamed of shouting it from the tree tops. Here’s more on the phony among phonies…

Edwards told a Google “town hall” yesterday that he had read the October, 2002 National Intelligence Estimate, the summary of evidence leading up to the war. According to his staff, that’s not true. Today, Edwards spokesman Mark Kornblau said Edwards had “misunderstood” the question and that he had not read the report.

Busted.

When Kerry interviewed Edwards for the first time for the VP job prior to the 2004 presidential campaign, Edwards told Kerry that he was going to tell him a story that he had never told anyone before. According to Robert Shrumm, advisor to the Kerry-Edwards campaign, the story went like this; “That after his son Wade had been killed, he climbed onto the slab at the funeral home, laid there and hugged his body, and promised that he’d do all he could to make life better for people, to live up to Wade’s ideals of service.” According to Shrumm, Kerry was stunned. Not at the story, but because Edwards had told him the exact same story, almost verbatim, a year earlier, saying at that time also, that he had never shared the memory with anyone else.

Creepy.

Before Kerry eventually tagged Edwards as his running mate, he asked him as a condition that he give his assurance that should they lose in 2004, that Edwards would not run against Kerry in 2008. Edwards agreed. That promise lasted until Edwards decided to run for president against Kerry last year.

True friend. Man of his word.

According to Shrumm’s forthcoming book “No Excuses,” Kerry has said that he wished he’d never picked Edwards. That he should have gone with his gut.

As these candidates have demonstrated with their recent views on the war…hindsight is 20/20.

CHAVEZ DRAFTS BIG BIRD

Hugo Chavez, the loveable President of Venezuela, has decided to shut down the only remaining nationally broadcast and oldest privately owned television station in the country, accusing the station of “subversive” activities. You remember ole Hugo, Jimmy Carter’s friend? Jimmy loaned a hand in helping to ensure Chavez’s very questionable election was “legitimate.”

Maybe you remember Hugo’s tirades at the United Nations last year, calling President Bush Satan and the devil, before a full assembly. He got a few nervous laughs with his comments, which made more than a few world leaders uncomfortable. He hates the United States, telling the UN General Assembly that the U.S. Government was the “first enemy” of its people. He says this as he systematically strips Venezuelans of their freedom.

He launched a new channel, TVES, with artists singing pro-Chavez songs over the airways. You can call this a first step toward imposing a gag on news media in Venezuela.

Hugo says he is just giving the airwaves back to the people by turning them over to public use. He calls this “democratizing” the airwaves. You know, kind of like PBS. Actually, exactly like PBS!

Early Sunday, according to the Associated Press, police broke up an opposition protest using water cannons and tear gas. Is anyone else having flashbacks of some of the shameful uses of force by some U.S. authorities during the civil rights struggle of the ‘60s…anyone?

The AP says “The government promises TVES will be more diverse, buying 70 percent of its content from independent Venezuelan producers. It will carry sports, news and an educational program for children emphasizing socialist values, as well as foreign-made programs such as National Geographic documentaries.” He must have stolen our playbook for PBS.

Someone tell me, why do my tax dollars pay for government TV in the U.S.A? I’ve had this discussion with many people and it always seems to boil down to the same answer, at least for me. All you have to do is watch it for a day and you’ll plainly see it keeps a lot of Democrats in this Country employed. It’s a 24 hour a day campaign commercial for everything government. It relies on government, it promotes government as your friend, is a voice for its very liberal-minded management and, if you watch the “children’s programming,” it indoctrinates our kids. All while putting a great face on the Democrat Party and scowling at anything pro-tradition or conservative. Much, much like TVES, I suspect! And this isn’t an attack on Democrats or a pro-Republican view I have…it’s simply anti-Public Broadcasting Service!

PBS is also a vehicle to get crummy programming aired that private stations would not purchase for viewing because there is no commercial interest. So let’s force the junk onto the people using the people’s own money. There is absolutely nothing democratic or capitalistic about that.

NEPTUNE JOINS GLOBAL WARMING CLUB and THE NEW YORK TIMES SUCKS

To bring yourself up to speed on today’s item, you may want to see my April 29 blog “’An Inconvenient Truth’ Plays on…Mars?” to see how global warming has caught up to the red planet.

If the Martians had Laurie David on their side, they just may stand a chance. Without Leonardo DiCaprio to save them, the poor Martians, like us hapless humans, will surely become extinct.

Now we have it on serious authority that Neptunians are screwed also! Scientists at the Lowell Observatory in Arizona have been measuring visible light from Neptune and the measurements indicate Neptune has been getting brighter since about 1980. Infrared measurements show the planet has been warming since about the same time.

Researchers have learned that the correlation between solar irradiance, Neptune’s brightness and changes on Earth is nearly perfect.

Seems it kinda goes like this, folks: When the sun’s energy increases, Neptune seems to warm up…as do Mars and Earth. At least that’s the poop appearing on World Climate Report, a climate change blog.

That news, like so much other news contradicting how humans are causing a global warming "crisis" will never make it to the Williams, Couric or Gibson nightly circuses, though. They have way too much invested in convincing us, on a daily basis, that the human species has singlehandedly wiped out an entire planet circling the Sun, the core of an entire solar system, buzzing about in the entire Milky Way galaxy in our little corner of the entire Universe. Wow, we’re powerful!

And there’s so much money to be made on global warming! In this country alone, over a quarter of a trillion dollars has gone from our purses and wallets to global warming research. That’s trillion with a “T”! One more time, that’s 250,000,000,000 dollars from U.S. taxpayers alone!

That quarter of a trillion dollars goes to anyone supporting the global warming agenda by virtually any and all means. If your company says it will research building cogs to be more “environmentally friendly,” then your Congressman will be happy to steal the money and give it to them…In return for a few votes and a campaign contribution, of course.

If your local university has a department dedicated to global warming research, in rolls the grant money. Grants being money taken from us and other possibly productive government projects and given to the school. More votes for your local, selfless Congressman.

Or how about this scenario: The community of Demersville, its governing authority being a responsible, global warming sympathetic group of citizens, paid for by your tax dollars, hires a lobbyist. Said lobbyist is paid for with your tax dollars. Lobbyist goes to the State or Federal government , funded by your tax dollars, to lobby for money, pulled from your pocket, for a project in Demersville that, though unneeded, will go for an environmentally friendly project, funded by you, of course.

So we’re paying a local government (no doubt extremely smart and hard working public servants) paid for by you, to hire a lobbyist, paid for by you, to go to the next level of governments, paid for by you, to get funding, paid for by you, for a project, paid for by you, that obviously isn’t necessary, or it wouldn’t require a lobbyist, paid for by you. Think about it for a minute. You just paid a lot of money to secure several people and things that need to be paid for by a lot more of your money.

And the benefactors? The local government officials who just bought your vote with your money by bringing your money in from the State or Federal government you are funding to pay some contractors for building the “project,” who, in return will send a few bucks to the campaign coffers of your locally elected officials.

Think more than twice when voting for that next new little millage and those tiny increases in the existing millages that populate virtually every election ballot with fuzzy words like Green, Parks, Conservation, Wildlife, Elderly, Education, Rights, Human, Clean, etc.


In a fashion that is actually easily predicted, the New York Times will publish a story on Memorial Day dealing with the dissatisfaction of some troops fighting in Iraq. These stories are legitimate to report and fair game, but in what context? In a piece that tries to paint a picture of discontent among most of the soldiers of Delta Company, The Times goes out of its way to give the impression that most of our troops have doubts about their mission. I could go on and on, but I won’t. I hope most of the public understand the New York Times’ agenda. The Times never seems to appreciate the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform except to exploit them for their own readership. And to choose Memorial Day for this piece…? Unabashedly self serving. It’s easier and easier to understand why their readership is tanking.

How many spirits will they kill today?

I pray all our men and women in arms will have a safe Memorial Day.

GOOD RIDDANCE ROSIE

Okay, so you don’t care about Rosie O’Donnell and her storied and colorful tenure with “The View. “ Well, I don’t either...EXCEPT, for the fact she is gone, gone, gone.

Now let’s make something clear right here and now - To paraphrase Bernard Goldberg, former CBS News and current HBO correspondent and best selling author - I’d rather do time in a Saudi prison than watch one episode of “The View."

Now, to make my point: Rosie O’Donnell is, in my opinion, a despicable human being who is a constant critic of the current administration, and America in general, and that’s fine. The right to criticize is what our soldiers have fought for since 1775. But what throws me over the edge is that she is also a bully! And God, you, and everyone else who reads my almost daily musings, knows that I hate bullies. I despise them. Bundle bully behavior and bully trash talk with seriously dangerous ignorance and we have a nauseatingly horrible person casting her hatefulness on anyone who’s dumb or unaware enough to absorb the bad vibes.

For example; she queried this other day about the war in Iraq, “655,000 Iraqi civilians have died. Who are the terrorists?”

Whoa! First of all, who killed 655,000 Iraqi civilians? She is obviously insinuating that our troops killed 655,000 Iraqi civilians. Witness a ridiculously ignorant statement on its own face. Secondly, she is inferring our soldiers in Iraq are terrorists! How can you draw any other conclusion from that statement, especially coming from a woman who has repeatedly trashed our nation and our military in the vilest of contexts?

So, some will tell me “she’s just a host on ‘The View!’” And I will agree. She’s just a host on a seemingly insignificant daytime program. But this program is watched by millions of women and even a few wussy Democratic men. And if you’ve ever watched clips of the show, which incidentally are shown ad nauseam on the nightly news (especially since vile Rosie joined the show), you can’t help but notice, by the audience reactions, that the people who watch this crap take it very seriously. They actually believe the stuff they hear on this program. These are the extremely ignorant, head-in-the-sand boneheads who sit at home and think they are getting the news from “The View” or Jon Stewart or from some ignorant jackass like Bill Maher who for years told us he was a Libertarian, apparently not knowing what that even meant, and has since proven himself to be one of the most bleeding-heart, feel-your-pain-but-don’t-ask-me-for-a-solution liberals of all time.

Anyway, these people sit and cheer when Rosie and company spew their empty-headed nonsense. Here is where the danger comes in…SOME OF THESE PEOPLE VOTE! They shouldn’t be able to without a civics lesson, but such are the rules!

God help us all!

Take heart, Rosie is gone from “The View,” and therefore from regular TV, at least for a short while.

A new Fox News / Opinion Dynamics Poll released Wednesday revealed that 65 percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of Rosie O’Donnell while 23 percent view her as favorable. She opined on “The View” Wednesday that when she’s debating Elizabeth Hasselbeck, she’s seen as the “big, fat, lesbian, loud Rosie!” How could she paint such a picture of herself?! She described Elizabeth as being seen as “pure, innocent, Christian Elizabeth.” Do we sense some personal conflict here??? Bitterness, you think?


Another poll released Wednesday revealed the following: One in four American Muslims under 30 years of age say that suicide bombings are acceptable. Only 40 percent believe that Arab men were behind the 9/11 attacks. More than half say its harder being a Muslim in America since 9/11. I wonder why??? They need to carefully examine their own poll numbers!

- Senior advisor and major investor in Fortress Investments: John Edwards.
- 9.9 percent owner of OMR: Drawbridge Global Macro Fund.
- Investor in Drawbridge Global Macro Fund: John Edwards.

NOW IT'S OFFICIAL - I CAN'T SUPPORT BUSH!

Bush is ready to hand Iraq off to the UN, possibly using a Muslim-led peacekeeping force according to “The Guardian,” quoting a former senior administration official. Keep your eye on the news starting Wednesday for some “mainstream” press scrutiny on these developments.

But that isn’t my top concern today. President Bush will announce soon that he wants to revive the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. This treaty was soundly rejected by President Ronald Reagan in 1982.

The Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) has been ratified by 153 countries since 1994. LOST created the International Seabed Authority (ISA), giving it total jurisdiction over all the oceans and everything in them, including the ocean floor with “all” its riches (“solid, liquid or gaseous mineral resources”). National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley has asked Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Senator Joe Biden to secure ratification “as early as possible.” So in effect, the UN would have the power to regulate seven-tenths of the world’s surface. We would surrender our sovereignty to a bureaucracy in Jamaica drawing tax-free salaries. If we ratify the treaty, we will have the same voting power as Cuba.

ISA would have the power to impose international taxes which would compel the United States, of course, to pay billions of private-enterprise dollars to ISA bureaucrats so our wealth could be transferred to Socialist, anti-American countries which Phyllis Schlafly euphemistically identifies as "developing countries."

The ISA has military implications also, in that it could require us to share our intelligence, technology and even military information. Not to mention putting restrictions on intelligence-gathering by our submarines.

LOST has also created the law of the Sea tribunal, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, with the power to decide all disputes and enforce its judgments. There can be no appeal from this tribunal’s jurisdiction.

I remember Bush Senior’s liberal use of the phrase “New World order” and subsequently Clinton’s calls to globalize just about everything about us. Clinton is, of course, a Rhodes Scholar, so I expected a lot of his warped foreign policy. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised with W’s membership in the Dark Side, but I naively hung on to some hopes early on. Shame on me!

Mr. Bush is about to lose what little conservative base he has left (a base currently hanging by their collective fingernails from a razor blade ledge) by pushing this globalist agenda.

Viva La Bush no more.

SCHOOL FUNDING FOR EDWARDS

Presidential candidate John Edwards, who has run on a platform of crusading against poverty, when not working for a Hedge Fund between elections, a fund which caters to the very wealthy, was paid $55,000 to speak to a crowd at the University of California, a taxpayer funded school, on January 9, 2006.

Edwards recently proposed an education policy that urged “every financial barrier” be removed from American kids who want to go to college. This taxpayer funded University could have used that money to help offset a 7 percent tuition increase that harms the very people Edwards purports to help.

If Edwards is serious about kids being able to afford going to college, then why didn’t he speak at the public school pro bono because he believes in his message, rather than for 50K. This guy is shameless in so many ways (see my blog of April 26, 2007) that this even sounds insignificant against a long list of inconsistencies and contradictions this fake trails for us all to trip over.

Amazing how this stuff is so thinly reported. But if you rely on the likes of Gibson, Couric, Williams and Blitzer, not to mention your local petty-sensationalism-for-news TV channels 4, 7, and 2 for your information, then you can expect nothing more. Edwards, the esteemed and shameless trial lawyer from North Carolina, commanded $285,000 in speaking fees from universities alone in 2006.

The leader of the conspiracy theory group Student Scholars for 9/11Truth, snuck into a candidate house party and enjoyed the following exchange with Republican presidential candidate, Congressman Paul:

CONSPIRACY NUT: “We’ve heard that you have questioned the government’s official account (of 9/11).”
REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE NUT: “Well, I never automatically trust anything the government does when they do an investigation because too often I think there’s an area that the government covered up, whether it’s the Kennedy assassination or whatever.”

Ron Paul appears to be “Pandering in the 9/11 conspiracy swamp,” as Michelle Malkin puts it. He’s clearly swerving into Rosie O’Donnell territory.


Many Republicans in Congress continue to commit political suicide by endorsing the Immigration Bill that is being shoved down our throats by the Democrat majority. The Democrats want a vote on the Bill before…that’s BEFORE… the bill is written in its entirety. This is another amnesty bill that goes much, much further than the bill that was passed in 1986 that granted amnesty to approximately three million illegal immigrants. Here go your taxes again. Among the illegals who will be granted visas and will be impossible to deport under this bill, are over 30,000 international gang members. One more time…30,000 international gang members!

Immigration, particularly illegal immigration is a very complicated subject that deserves much consideration and debate. There is absolutely a critical niche in our economy for immigrants, illegal and otherwise. That said, we have no capacity to absorb and give benefits to between 12 and 20 million illegal immigrants. The operative descriptive here is ILLIEGAL! Hell, this a subject we can take up some other time.


I promise, this is the last of Jimmy Carter for a while…or at least until he opens his mouth to trash his own country on foreign soil again! He has retreated somewhat from the remarks he made to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette where he told a reporter “as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history.” Now he says his remarks were “careless or misinterpreted” and that he was only comparing the Bush Administration’s foreign policy to that of Richard Nixon. He said he did not mean to call it the worst in history. And then, he tried to blame it on the reporter for misrepresenting his statement! But surprise!...The reporter had the tape to back it up! So the twit lies too. Apology accepted, Jimmy! Separately, I don’t take back anything I said about Carter…I meant every word of it!

NO MOORE JIMMY PLEASE!

I thought I was done thinking about Jimmy Carter after venting on yesterday’s blog, but the most irrelevant ex-President of the 20th century opened his loveable heart to us again with this assessment of the current Administration: In an interview with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette on Saturday he said “as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history.” Fare enough. It doesn’t matter what I care of his assessment, I’m no great George Bush fan either. But this kind of stuff coming from an ex-U.S. President about a current administration is frightening in the damage it can do to the United States, not to mention the passion it helps to whip up toward our soldiers abroad!

Carter’s constant attacks against a sitting president are unprecedented historically, but unfortunately, we’re not strangers to how he can shame our nation. He was bad enough as President that he singlehandedly helped the nation forget about how much they deplored a Republican President who had to resign in disgrace, to the point that in just four years the electorate was ready for a shot at another Republican President, Ronald Reagan. For that, Jimmy, on behalf of a grateful nation, I THANK YOU PROFUSELY!

The Bush Administration did fire back this time, though, also breaking with history, when White House spokesman Tony Fratto said “…I think he (Carter) is proving to be INCREASINGLY IRRELEVANT with these kinds of comments.” (Emphasis added)


State Sen. Carole Migden, D-San Francisco, was driving her new state-issued SUV (God, I love these environmental hypocrites) when she smashed into another vehicle on Friday while talking on her cell phone. No reason for me to mention something like this if it weren’t for the fact that Sen. Migden had just voted for a new law in California that imposes a fine for anyone caught using a cell phone while driving without a headset or other hands-free technology.


World Renowned and revered environmentalist, scientist, climatologist and actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, has warned us, in his film, “The 11th Hour”, that human beings face extinction as a result of the “environmental crises.” Now that we have it on authority of another play-pretend American, I guess the jig is up for us humans.



Michael Moore’s film “SICKO” is a runaway hit at the Cannes Film Festival, no surprise there, but there is an eerie quiet where challengers to his work should be. I’m going to be optimistic and guess that the film should be in broad release before the dissection takes place…hope I’m right! You can reference my blog of May 10, 2007 for a bit on the ridiculous hypocrisy of Moore.

And regarding Moore’s film, which will get much more attention from me later. Are the ever worshiping and sycophant fans of his even remotely aware of what a Democracy is? From where I sit, I have to say people who sympathize with his socialist viewpoints - regardless of the seeming unfairness he likes to point out, and exaggerate, and carefully edit – don’t know a whole lot about the history of this Country or basic market driven economics and the workings of free markets. I suspect the vast majority have never heard the name Adam Smith, with regard to economics, and haven’t a clue as to how “profit” is the one cog, the importance of which you cannot possibly ignore, that is vital to a successful society. And I am way over simplifying this!

According to “The Guardian,” Harvey Weinstein, who’s company is behind the film, says the Bush Administration is conspiring, once again, to confiscate and impound the film and edit it. WHAT??? This, he says, is because Moore is the subject of an investigation by the Treasury Department in part for his unauthorized trip to Cuba, in violation of U.S. Law. Apparently if Mike does anything illegal, any intervention by the authorities to persuade him to obey the laws of the land would be the result of a Bush conspiracy. Do these people sound more than a little childish to anyone but me? At the Cannes Film Festival, Weinstein alluded to Senator Bob Thompson’s rebuff to Moore’s childish debate challenge. By the way Harvey, it’s FRED Thompson, not Bob! And I’m supposed to take these idiots seriously???

BITTER OLD FOOL

Oh Jimmy Carter! I wish we could say we’ve missed your sorry ass since you were quite unceremoniously dumped from the White House by a very disappointed electorate in 1980, but we can’t, for two reasons. One, nobody has fond memories of your disastrous term on Pennsylvania Avenue. Two, you won’t get your toothy grin out of our lives long enough to be missed. You’re like a chronic hemorrhoid on the ass of the Democrats’ donkey. Please quit embarrassing us with your anti-American escapades. How about going on a mission to save the word by eradicating killer rabbits? Remember when you were attacked by a rabbit, Jimmy? My God, how embarrassing…for US, not you! What a Wus! The only killer rabbit in the entire world and it had to attack a United States President…a President who couldn’t successfully defend himself against a bunny. And you haven’t figure out why you couldn’t persuade the Ayatollah Khomeini and Iran to release the 52 American hostages they seized and kept captured for well over a year during your disastrous tenure?! To rub salt in the wound, enter President Reagan and the hostages were released moments later.

Here is what Jimmy had to say about one of the most influential and popular leaders of modern times, Great Britain’s Prime Minister Tony Blair: “I think that the almost undeviating support by Great Britain for the ill-advised policies of President Bush in Iraq have been a major tragedy for the world.” He also called PM Blair: “Abominable. Loyal, blind, apparently subservient.” This from a person like Carter to a man like Blair???

This Carter creep is the guy who Hugo Chavez sent running for his saggy life when he went to Venezuela to “monitor” elections. He did such a good job monitoring that Chavez, who hates America and Americans more than Jane Fonda, won a very questionable, steeper than landslide, election victory. Carter also gave his stamp of approval to the sham election of Yasser Arafat in 1996. A historical lover of socialism and even dictatorships, he decided to sit out the Iraq elections because….How do I put this politely? I’m guessing he didn’t want any part of George Bush getting credit for helping to establish a democratically elected government in Iraq! He would, it seems, begrudge Iraq a democracy simply because George Bush helped make it happen. What a piece of work this Jimmy guy is! But no problem helping Venezuela establish a socialist state!?

And he regurgitates this puke on foreign soil, on BBC radio!? C’mon Libs…I understand a lot of your grievances, but how is the United States of America itself such a grievance that you have to spew your uncontrolled diatribe directly to foreign audiences? Have some pride…control yourself and your anger for a change and do something constructive with it (hear me, Dixie Sluts...er, Chicks?)!

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), during a meeting on immigration legislation, told Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), when McCain objected to part of the bill, that McCain had been too busy campaigning for president and hadn’t contributed much, telling him he can’t just “…parachute in here on the last day” and accuse Cornyn of voicing “petty objections”. “You’re out of line.” To which McCain replied, “F__k You! I know more about this than anyone in the room!” Not much, but I think McCain is borderline certifiable and needs to let go of his presidential aspirations so we can breath some fresh air. So like I said, not much, but it speaks to his temperament.

If you’re tired of all of this kind of stuff, I highly recommend you treat yourself and someone else to a screening of “Shrek The Third.” Extremely entertaining…dry, sophisticated adult humor and chuckle-out-loud funny! We're back and resuming regular posts today. I hope you'll continue checking this page for new information and a realistic, though abbreviated, take on some of the news of the day. Read on...

We have at least 18 current presidential candidates, at least four others intending to announce, and not one of them does anything for me. I have to agree with Jed Babbin of “Human Events.com” when he calls them, not candidates, but contestants. When you see eight or ten people sharing the same stage, what else does it look like?

I watched the second GOP debate the other night on FOX and though the questions were much, much, more intelligent than the childish queries made by the MSNBC dopes, the answers weren’t much more exciting than the first round. And even though the contestants injected much more humor - unfortunately, not all intended – they were still quick to invoke answers they think Ronnie would offer. President Reagan was again, the clear winner as stooge after...um, I mean candidate after candidate, told us that they would do as Reagan did and…well, you fill in the blank.

All and all it was another real yawner. I’ll say this…for as much as they like to compare their answers to what Mr. Reagan would do, there isn’t a Conservative in the bunch. Not that I recognized anyway.

The more they told me how they would do like President Reagan, the more I yawned. It would seem that not one of these people can take a stand, stick to it and sell us on why it would be good for us. Instead, they try to convince us that their stand is the same as Ronnie would take. Man, grow a pair, guys!

Horrible as it was, I had to watch it because, well, I’m messed up like that.

I’ll give the GOP candidates this though; they sounded like men. One more time, they sounded like men. Well, with the exception of Ron Paul, who seems like the missing link between Jimmy Carter and Mike Dukakis. When I watched the Democrats debate, it was real hard telling where Hillary left off and Edwards and the other wusses began. They could have had a real man candidate but they ran him out of the Party during his senate race. His name was Joe Lieberman.

Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner in their book “Freakonomics,” argue that statistically, elections come down to pretty much one element…likeability. Well, some of them are likeable. Take Obama…please! Barak Hussein is likeable, but empty as a porn shop in Tehran! If our extremely intelligent electorate is going to elect the most likeable candidate, we’re screwed! I mean…if the four years from 2009 to 2013 doesn’t bring us another conservative for the nation to rally around again, like Mr. Reagan, then we’ll know that conservatism is truly dead.

So not one of the three Republican front runners; McCain, Giuliani or Romney have any kind of conservative track record. And none of the other contestants stand a chance anyway. Enough of that for now. But if you can tell me how one or two of them don’t suck, please let me hear from you! I’m always open to enlightenment…
